‘The Newsroom’ season 3: Where you can see Jeff Daniels before the premiere
Presumably at some point this fall, the final season of “The Newsroom” is going to premiere on HBO. However, you really don’t have to wait that long if you want to see series star Jeff Daniels in action … at least provided that you are going to be in Michigan, Wisconsin, or Illinois during the month of August.
As many of you reading this article most likely know already, Daniels is an accomplished singer / songwriter to go along with his countless acting credits, and he and the Ben Daniels Band are going to be performing a tour across the aforementioned states. You can see the full list (including ticket information) over on his official site.
What makes Daniels so particularly interesting is that he does not have the standard traits in the slightest of a major TV or film actor. He still keeps most of his roots in Michigan, he loves live a life on the road, and his interviews are mostly filled with more personal stories. This attitude is probably what allows him to have that rare hybrid music / acting career where both can be taken seriously. It’s not like one is being used to prop up the other.
Still, we’re interested in seeing what Jeff does when “The Newsroom” returns, and we’ll be covering it extensively as a TV site. We’ll also hopefully see him at the Primetime Emmy Awards this year on August 25. (Click here to see him talking about his previous win.) While he does have this extensive tour going on, he doesn’t have a show planned for the night of the awards or the two days that follow.
As always, stay tuned for some further updates, and share some of your thoughts on this story below! You can also click here to get more information on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
