‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: New photo of Georgina Haig’s Elsa, Kristoff

Hooray for “Once Upon a Time” releasing a new official photo of Elsa! Hopefully this is a good way for them to curtail production from having to deal with constant paparazzi around their set trying to scoop the show.

This one is also extra-fun in our eyes, given that you are getting an opportunity to see more than just Georgina Haig in action as the character; you’re also getting to see Kristoff! This is the first official photo released of Scott Michael Foster in action, and for the most part he fits what we would expect the character to look like in real life … even if we’re not that crazy about the hat. Also, a Sven cameo! He seems to actually be a real reindeer in this case, which probably explains why we’re going to see him and not Olaf on the show. (Having a still snowman would probably be no fun for anyone.)

For the most part, we really dig this photo … and it’s pretty easy to. With that being said, though, we do continue to wonder whether or not the show is taking enough risks with the property, given that all of this for now just feels like what we would expect from a sequel to the Disney movie rather than the show putting its own twist on things.

The only thing we can offer as consolation for those who feel this way is this: Rumpelstiltskin and Elsa do have some sort of history, and Josh Dallas teased recently that Charming also does with a “Frozen” character. Hopefully, these two will help to mix it up in the way in which we always appreciate from this show.
