‘Big Brother 16’ review: Frankie, Team America use Zach for our enjoyment

Zach -In many ways, we feel bad for Zach Rance. He’s an entertainment-loving blind squirrel and a puppet of Team America on “Big Brother 16.”

To be fair, the guy never had a big chance of winning the game anyway. He’s Dr. Will Kirby without most of the charm, and with far more questionable moves. Still, we love him as entertainment, and we certainly got that with his random tirade during the Veto Meeting towards Amber. The guy’s game is being sunk even more thanks to Team America, and it’ll be interesting to see where things go from here. Ironically, Team America actually lost the task, since Amber didn’t respond to anything that Zach actually said. They probably would’ve been better suited to wind someone else up than someone already thought of as nuts.

From an information standpoint, the biggest thing that we learned from this episode, thanks to some awful Team America choices, that there will still be a Battle of the Block twist going into the next week. To think, we thought that this was finally going to be ending. (This is seemingly a move to ensure that some alliance members get in trouble.) You have a few hours to decide whether or not two Team America members should vote against most of the house, or convince people to throw HoH so that they can win.

A few other observations from the “other things we knew already, but were still funny” department.

  • Jocasta gives such great Diary Room sessions; why is she so terrible on the feeds?
  • Watching Zach mess around with Caleb about Amber was so funny, and worth the price of admission alone.
  • What’s with Nicole’s sudden jealousy over Victoria? She’s largely useless in the game, and Hayden clearly wasn’t kissing her.
  • Clearly, “Big Brother” loves the #Zankie shippers … that is all.

Overall, a fan episode, but we’re dreading this Team America vote already. Grade: B-.
