‘Graceland’ season 2, episode 7 preview: Violence and fear of death
Where is the story on “Graceland” going in the wake of last week’s uber-intense installment? The simple answer that we have for you right now is an incredibly dark direction. This is a show that often does get violent and gritty, but “The Unlucky Ones” may be one of the most intense ones to date.
The biggest thing to note with this story is that Mike is really putting almost everyone in his life (and his team) at risk over the course of this hour. If things go wrong now, the entire Graceland compound as we know it could fall apart … not that we expect it to in the middle of the season.
Typically with most shows, getting into a position where characters could die is not something to be worried about. Shows rarely get rid of a regular, especially in the middle of a season. However, we don’t necessarily feel that way with “Graceland.” Sure, we have a hard time imagining the show without Mike, Paige, or any of the other characters, but with the way that this whole story is set up, we’re not going to sit here and say definitively that everyone is safe, and there is nothing for us to worry about for a long time. The circumstances just make that impossible. We wouldn’t be surprised if the summer ended with at least one fewer person on the team.
If nothing else, you can at least be happy about the fact that there are still many episodes to enjoy this summer, and it’s hard to tell where this story is going to go.
