‘Falling Skies’ season 4, episode 7 preview: ‘Saturday Night Massacre,’ Lexi’s new power

Are we going to see another completely new incarnation of Lexi on “Falling Skies” season 4? While we’d be shocked to see a transformation as big as we saw going into this season, her emergence from that cocoon is going to cause all sorts of trouble.

The first sign that you have of big things coming up in this episode is strictly the title for the hour itself: “Saturday Night Massacre.” If that does not scream “trouble” to you, then we really do not know what will. The synopsis below may help, though, at least to show how crazy things are about to get:

“Lexi emerges more powerful and ruthless than ever. Tom and the 2nd Mass must work together with the Volm to hold off the invading Espheni forces in what becomes the bloodiest battle of the series. Mira Sorvino, Treva Etienne and Robert Sean Leonard guest-star.”

Before this season ends, the primary thing that we know you should look out for is for some more definitive answers with this Lexi character … including just what she is truly capable of. At the moment, you should know very well already that she means business. The larger question at hand is just what this power if going to eventually translate into, and if she is good or bad for the 2nd Mass.

The scary thing for us to think about right now is merely that there are only a few episodes in this season after Sunday night, and then, there’s only one more season. That is not a lot of time to tie together some of these stories.
