‘The Originals’ season 2 trailer: Claire Holt, Nathaniel Buzolic make surprise appearances

Are we going to see a whole lot of Kol or Rebekah on season 2 of “The Originals”? It is a little early to say that for the time being, but we can at least promise that the two are going to be a part of the brand-new trailer released by The CW that is basically all sorts of awesome.

This show feels like it really has figured out now what it wants to be, and that is a violent, insane family drama about redemption, despair, and heartache all rolled into one. Just when you think that Klaus has started to really secure his place in the world again, you have the return of Mikael. Not only that, but his mother may be back in a new form, and he has the issue of Hayley turning completely murderous in the wake of seeing her child being taken away / becoming a hybrid.

The surprise appearance of Claire Holt’s Rebekah at the start here will most definitely catch you off guard, and it’s confirmation that she will at least have a small role. While we’re unsure she will ever be a regular again, her having Klaus and Hayley’s child is a nice way to ensure that she remains a part of the show that can be brought back at any time.

Meanwhile, are we really going to see more of Nathaniel Buzolic’s Kol? He at least makes a tiny cameo in here, and with “Supernatural: Bloodlines” not moving forward, there could be a viable reason to bring him on. Also, he happens to be one of the “Vampire Diaries” franchise’s most-popular characters on Twitter.

If this trailer doesn’t make you pumped for the show’s second-season premiere on October 7, we really do not know what will. All we’d say for now is share some of your thoughts about this below.
