‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ season 5: Eileen Davidson set to join
What is it with “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” suddenly becoming “The Real Soap Stars of Beverly Hills”? The show is definitely going in a different direction for their fifth season, and that is casting women that you may actually be familiar with already.
You may have already heard the stories that were linking Lisa Rinna (who has appeared in daytime dramas and about a million reality shows already) to the new season; now, Us Weekly reports that Daytime Emmy winner and “Days of Our Lives” star Eileen Davidson is also going to join the show. The reason that we’re so shocked by this is that we don’t know how in the world she will have time. She’s set to do a stint on “The Young and the Restless” to go along with the NBC soap, and then also have some time left in her schedule for this. While we know that the other women in the cast have other things going on, their schedules are at least a little more flexible. Production for major TV shows cannot just set things up for the sole purpose of accommodating one of their stars.
Davidson is joining on the show original cast members Kim and Kyle Richards and also Lisa Vanderpump. Yolanda Foster and Brandi Glanville, who joined during the show’s run, will also reportedly be back for some more drama with the show the rest of the way. We want to be excited about this season, but it’s hard. Last time it felt like there were just too many people there to intentionally cause drama, and it took away from some of the real-life nature of the show.
