‘Big Brother 16’ review: A swift kick in Cody’s butt

Cody -For a little bit on Wednesday’s “Big Brother 16,” it felt like the show was actually trying to make us sorry for people. Feel bad for Victoria because nobody in the house likes her, and then feel bad for Brittany because she’s in pain. Also, we’re supposed to feel bad for the Detonators because Caleb screwed up their game by ensuring that he had $5,000. We don’t like Caleb, but we wouldn’t pass over guaranteed money in this game. Your odds of winning the grand prize in the end are so tiny.

In the end, we don’t feel sorry for anyone because they all signed up for this experience. Instead, we enjoy the unintentional comedy of it all. The Germitard was funny, as was finding out more about Caleb technically winning the Veto, and taking the cash rather than the necklace.

In the end, though, we are siding with Frankie here when it comes to whether or not the right move was made. You don’t target someone who’s not targeting you at all. Caleb is not going to be someone trying to take you out for a long time in this game; he’ll instead nominate people like Victoria and Nicole. Donny is not a particularly loyal member of the same level, and he won’t really hold it against you that much. Plus, putting him up ensure that Brittany goes.

As for some other moments from this pretty-strong episode:

  • We always like this sort of Veto Competition for some reason.
  • The show glossed over Caleb basically volunteering to be a pawn. Heck, so did Zach at one point.
  • After speaking in tongues Sunday, Jocasta was almost completely MIA for the week … just like most of the season.

Overall, we wish there was more drama going on, but we at least still like most of the cast. Grade: B.
