‘Royal Pains’ season 6, episode 7 preview: Hank and ‘the happiness principle’
Is Hank Lawson on “Royal Pains” ever going to be happy? Well, it all depends on how you choose to define that very word. He’s a guy with a job that he loves, and we’re sure that being out in the Hamptons for him is a billion or so times better than actually having to be in an emergency room somewhere.
Still, this is a guy who stresses over everything, and also hasn’t really been in love in quite a while now. In the sneak peek video below from Tuesday’s episode “Electric Youth,” he is at least encouraged by a new patient (a DJ with a party lifestyle) to listen to his “happiness principle,” and try to follow along in order to figure out how to make himself a little less miserable as a whole.
Will Hank really listen to this? We have a hard time thinking so, mostly because he’s as stubborn as stubborn can be. Still, if the guy would just learn how to relax a little more occasionally, we imagine that he would be a million times happier in the end. Plus, he may be a little more open to romance whenever that does come in his direction (and we are assuming that it will eventually).
Before that happens, though, Hank still has to continue to be a doctor, while we wait to find out whether or not he is going to have a lab at any point in the near future to actually be able to run his tests.
