‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: New scoop on Daniel Gillies, Nathan Parsons

Originals -If you thought that the world of “The Originals” was messy following its first season, here’s an update for you: Things are only going to get crazier the rest of the way.

We teased yesterday that things for Daniel Gillies’ character of Elijah were going to be tricky this coming season, thanks mostly to some of the insecurity he will feel now that Hayley is a hybrid. She and Klaus now have this unique bond, and there is no way that he can relate to her on the same level. (Then again, he couldn’t relate to her much when she was just a werewolf, either.)

One other interesting thing that Elijah has to watch out for now? The return of Jackson. After spending this summer playing James and romancing Lafayette on the final season of “True Blood,” Nathan Parsons will come in around six episodes into the season. This is according to show executive producer Julie Plec, who also stated the following on the subject in a new interview with E! News:

“Elijah should be nervous about a lot of things. Elijah is going to go through some s–t this year at the beginning of the season … It’s not going to be all puppy dogs and rainbows for him at all.”

We feel for the guy, but at the same time we’re not that worried about him. The dude is ancient! He’s clearly been through some terrible stuff already in his life, so we really cannot be too worried about whether or not he is going to make it through this okay.

For now, just share some of your early expectations for the Elijah character below! You can also sign up now in the event that you want some other news and updates on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
