‘The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All’ review: Chris Soules, Andi Dorfman, lie detectors, and more

Chris Soules -As always, “The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All” special on Monday night was a very bloated affair. There were unnecessary packages, cheesy one-liners, us wasting time on people we don’t really care about (Marcus?), and also “bloopers” that Chris Harrison dangled in front of us like a carrot to keep us watching.

So rather than dealing with most of the nonsense, let’s bring up some of the most buzz-worthy moments from the entire night.

Marquel – Seriously, the man is so boss. He was funny during his first segment talking about the show, and his questions for Andi were perfectly on-point. He recognizes that he was partially at fault for the relationship not working out, and he is willing to admit that.

Chris – Of course, everyone loves Chris, and part of the obviously-future-Bachelor’s segment was fun. But how terrible was that “random date” with the girl from the audience? That was clearly staged in the same way the “I love Juan Pablo” shirts were last year. (Mistakes were made!)

The lie detectors – This was just all sorts of stupid. Why do you want to subject these guys to this? We’re not watch “Maury” here, so we really could care less that Josh or anyone else lied during some test that they never should have had to take in the first place.

The biggest thing that we didn’t like about the special? Outside of the obligatory Chris Bukowski sighting (why?), the fact that Eric Hill wasn’t really a part of the discussion. We know that it would’ve been overkill to some, but it feels strange that these are the guys who knew Eric the best, and yet most of the perspective we got about him came from Andi and Chris Harrison.

So in the end, we feel the same way about this special we always do: It’s totally unnecessary, but the best you can try to do is laugh it off. Grade: C+.
