‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ spoilers: Could Neil Patrick Harris appear?
How would this be for one of the greatest casting coups out there? If Neil Patrick Harris and “American Horror Story” co-creator Ryan Murphy each have it their way, this could actually happen.
The conversation started for this on Friday, when the former “How I Met Your Mother” star (who has also been heavily entrenched in “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”) appeared on Entertainment Weekly Radio this week and said that he actually had written Murphy a letter talking about his love for the material, and wanting to be a part of the show. At that point, he had not responded.
Luckily, that has changed now courtesy of the story. Murphy responded to Neil on Twitter saying “of course you can be on Freak Show! I have a role I think you’d love.” This would not be the first time that the two have collaborated, as Harris made a brief one-episode appearance on “Glee” back during its first season. If the scheduling can line up properly, there is no reason for us to believe that this would fall apart.
If Harris joins, he would be a part of an amazing cast that already includes Michael Chiklis, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, and so many more. It’s basically one of the best casts on any show across the board. Also, you have Sarah Paulson playing a two-headed woman, which to us still sounds all sorts of amazing and challenging at the same time.
