‘The Fosters’ season 2 spoilers: Rosie O’Donnell returns for ‘Girls Reunited’

These days, the majority of the headlines surrounding Rosie O’Donnell mostly have to do with one thing and one thing only: Her return to “The View.”

However, you cannot forget about the recurring role that she has had on “The Fosters” over the years, as well! Rosie will be returning to the ABC Family show for the August 4 episode “Girls Reunited,” which will show Callie trying to give back, a little bit of romance, a few surprises thrown in here for good measure. In general, you can get a full picture of what to expect in the synopsis below:

“Callie pays a visit to Girls United to pitch in for Community Day and is surprised by new developments at her former foster group home. Paranoid neighbors are putting pressure on the home’s landlord to kick the girls out, and a new resident has secrets that could jeopardize the safety of the entire group … Meanwhile, Mariana and Hayley plan to cook a romantic double-date dinner for Mat and Jesus. And Stef receives a concerning letter from Ana.”

We’re hoping for an episode here that at least has its fair share of lighthearted moments, if for no other reason than that there have not been a whole lot of them as of late across the network. We just lost a beloved character over on “Switched at Birth,” and even this show has us insanely worried right now in regards for Lena.
