‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 3 spoilers: Who is unlikely to be back for more?

The big news that most fans of “Beauty and the Beast” have to be happy about right now is mostly that the show is coming back for a third season. Hooray! This is something that was pretty doubtful at one point in the spring.

When it comes to casting, we also know a few other things. Nicole Gale Anderson will be a series regular moving forward as Cat’s sister Heather, and we have seen the last of Sendhil Ramamurthy as Gabe. After a good run as Gabe, his character was killed off in the finale.

So who else may not be coming back to the show? While nothing is confirmed right now, actor Ted Whittall responded to a fan on Twitter by saying that it “doesn’t seem likely” that we will see Catherine’s father again at some point next season.

Are we shocked by this? Not entirely, given that we really did see what could be a fitting end to his story with Cat for now in season 2. Plus, the show seems to be going in a somewhat different direction than anything that they have done so far with Catherine and Vincent working together to stop some other evil supernatural beings of the world. It almost feels like a more government-oriented version of “Supernatural,” with the main difference being that the two main characters are in a relationship rather than being brothers.

There is no premiere date sadly for season 3, but if we had to guess, we would say that it will be in the spring of next year. We’d also be cool with it being in the summer again, but The CW may not want to wait that long.
