2014 Teen Choice Awards: Dylan O’Brien, Emily Bett Rickards, Robbie Kay among new nominees
The Teen Choice Awards traditionally send out their nominations in waves, with the second group coming out a little bit earlier to capitalize more on some summer TV trends. It’s a pretty smart move, mostly because this show always needs ratings, and this is a way to get them without having to look entirely into a crystal ball earlier in the spring and nominating things that you’re not sure will end up being very good at the end of the day.
Just so we’re clear, the nominees below are only the ones related to TV. We don’t cover anything else on the site, so we don’t want to make this too confusing.

There are some nominees in here that we’re pleased to see, including Robbie Kay (given that he hasn’t been on “Once Upon a Time” in a while but was still remembered), Dylan O’Brien as a villain, and Emily Bett Rickards just for making Felicity awesome. It’s also interesting that there are some categories on here that really just feel like they are meant for ABC Family alone.
