‘So You Think You Can Dance’ results: Stanley Glover – Jordan Epstein surprises

“So You Think You Can Dance” has delivered quite a few surprises over the course of its run on TV, and we’re sure that there are some out there who would put the results of Wednesday night’s show fairly high on the “shock” meter.

We’ll start with the female side of the equation in Jourdan Epstein, mostly because we all saw that coming. She is someone who looked like she would be going home during the show, and given the pretty stellar bottom three four the ladies tonight, we’re not that surprised.

As for Stanley Glover, however, we are feeling a little bit more floored over that one. He was at one point a major contender! It seemed like there was only one weaker routine that hurt him, and even still, we wouldn’t have voted for him to go home. Sometimes Nigel Lythgoe takes it upon himself to be the arbiter of talent and ignores what some of the results are, but he really didn’t do that so much in this case. He sent home the two people that received the fewest number of the votes.

So while we are very surprised by all of this in the end, we cannot say that our jaw is entirely on the floor. There are always some surprising exits that take place early on in every season, and still you have some pretty deserving people at the end. While you may not always agree with who snags the title in the end (we know that there’s been debate over both of the past two winners), good people typically go far.
