‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6: Nina Dobrev, Kat Graham reunite on set
For all who love “The Vampire Diaries,” yesterday turned out to be a rather great day. Per Nina Dobrev’s own Twitter account, it was “day one” of the show’s sixth season!
The cast has been slowly arriving to set in Atlanta to get things started on the new season, and they did that after a summer that was particularly stuffed to the brim with all sorts of traveling and other gigs. We know that Dobrev in particular went as far away as Bali to enjoy some fun in the sun, and many other cast members traversed parts of Europe and even Asia. We understand the need to get away, especially since it is probably hard for any of these people to go somewhere else in America without being recognized at almost every turn.
The filming pattern for “The Vampire Diaries” is always to us an interesting one, mostly because it never really takes place in Atlanta for a long time before Comic-Con. The show’s panel there is next weekend, so the cast will fly in, do the panel, do some assorted interviews with the press, and then get back on a plane and fly all the way back to Georgia to get back to work. There, they will continue doing their thing with breaks for holidays and other events until April. That is traditionally when filming concludes, and the cycle begins again. Despite worries about the show ending soon, we imagine that they probably have at least one more season after this one before those discussions really start to come up.
