TV Quick Hits: ‘Chicago PD’ season 2, ‘The 100’ season 2, ‘Orange Is the New Black’ scoop

If you love a particular trio of shows mentioned in the title, this edition of TV Quick Hits is definitely going to be right up your alley … and we’ll start from the realm of “Chicago PD.”

Someone from Lindsay’s past – According to E! News, the season 2 premiere of the show is going to introduce a character who knows a thing or two about where Sophia Bush’s character comes from. While there is not a whole lot known about the character yet beyond this, the interactions between the two will be “intense,” and very show off some of the very difficult times that Lindsay went through as a child.

“Orange is the New Black” scoop – In moving over to the Netflix series, Kate Mulgrew was kind enough to give the same website a tease of her own. It may not be the most substantial bit of scoop you’ve ever heard, but think of it as a nice way to open up the lines of communication / speculation: “I can tease this much, whatever journey you think Red is going to take, it will not be what you think … This one is utterly unpredictable.”

“The 100” castings – How about a big dose of casting news related to “The 100” to close things off? First of all, Deadline reports that “Training Day” alum Raymond J. Barry will recur on the show as Dante Wallace, a man with leadership qualities who also happens to double as a painter. Random, but we’re cool with it. You may also know Barry from “Justified,” where he played the part of Raylan’s father Arlo for a time.
