‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2, ‘The Following’ season 3 Comic-Con posters revealed!
Like things that go bump in the night? Then either “Sleepy Hollow” or “The Following” may be your cup of tea. While we would not say that either one of them is necessarily going for the completely-terrifying angle, the two do still each have their moments where they can completely freak you out.
Rather than try to make you uncomfortable now, though, Fox is promoting their Comic-Con appearances with a different strategy: Getting you excited! The two shows are going to be featured at panel discussions in San Diego, with producers and selected cast members attending. (The two posters below come to us via Entertainment Weekly.)
This poster for “Sleepy Hollow” is by our estimation pretty darn awesome, since it features a terrifying horseman reminding us that war is on the way. While it may be just a couple of steps away from “Ghost Rider,” we really don’t mind since visually, that comic was also pretty awesome. (Let’s just not mention Nicolas Cage.) The panel for this show will take place on Friday, September 25, and you can find out some more details about who will be attending it over at the link here.
This show returns to Fox on Monday, September 22, and there will be a season ahead that is filled with twists, turns, and all sorts of other shockers. Brace yourselves now.
Meanwhile, the poster for “The Following” seems more interested in reminding us of just one thing: There are some other horrible people out there. We do at least like the reminder that the rest of the entire series is not going to revolve around Joe and Joe only. There are other beast and issues to tackle.
Here is the biggest surprise to us: This show will have its panel in Hall H! It will take place on Sunday, July 27 from 11:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m., and feature the likes of Kevin Bacon, Shawn Ashmore, Sam Underwood and Jessica Stroup along with creator/executive producer Kevin Williamson and executive producers Marcos Siega and Jennifer Johnson. We say that we are surprised mostly because this show was not a ratings tank at all during season 2, and this is the biggest room at Comic-Con.

Since Joe Carroll appears to have been kicked to the curb for Season 3, it’s unlikely I’ll be tuning in since James Purefoy was the reason I continued to watch the show after the first couple episodes in Season 1. I’m sure Shawn Ashmore, Jessica Stroup and Sam Underwood have their “followers” but for me their characters aren’t the least bit interesting or compelling. I watched for the interaction between Joe and Ryan and without that all the rest just falls flat. One of the reasons Season 2 was disappointing to me was the lack of Ryan/Joe scenes until the last few episodes. At best, I’m guessing the producers will have JP make what amounts to guest appearances occasionally in an effort to hold onto his fans as viewers. To paraphrase Joe, Good Luck with that.
