‘NCIS’ season 12: Pauley Perrette shares tease of premiere script
With “NCIS” getting ready to kick off production for season 12, the great news is that we’ll start to have some more to share beyond some isolated teases here and there. Today’s story is largely proof that we are starting to finally head in that direction.
In a post on Twitter, Pauley Perrette (Abby) shared what is the first tease of the premiere script, which the cast members just received late last week. While she doesn’t reveal much of the title (we wonder if the first word is “two”?), it’s sometimes better to get a little tease of something than ultimately no tease at all.
What we can probably say now is that it’s safe to assume showrunner Gary Glasberg has written the premiere, given that he has done so for most of the past several seasons. You can also start to make out under “written by” what looks somewhat like a G.
As for that gigantic “CONFIDENTIAL” warning at the top, that is just one of many pieces of evidence of just how intense some of the secrecy related to scripts these days is. We’ve seen everything from watermarks to digital scripts to ones with password-only access, all to ensure that the only people who know what is happening on the show are those who absolutely need to know. To think, “NCIS” is not even a show like “Lost” or “Breaking Bad” where almost everything on the show can be ruined in the same capacity. This show at least has the luxury of moving from one story to the next fairly quickly.
