‘Major Crimes’ season 3 video: Producers on ten-year journey from ‘The Closer’ onward

Feeling a little bit nostalgic today for the old days of TNT drama? If you answer that question with a “yes,” then we have for you here what may be a very welcome relief: A new video featuring Mike Rubin and James Duff talking about some of the old days of “The Closer,” the new days on “Major Crimes,” and then anything and everything in between.

Is there any substantial scoop in here on the story ahead? Not really, but we don’t think you’ll mind that much given that this is not what this video is about. Instead, it’s more about sharing interesting stories from the past decade, what the two men have learned in the process, and what the process was like going from a show featuring Kyra Sedgwick front and center to continuing to work with the same cast in a very new capacity.

After you enjoy this, just remember that there will be another new episode of “Major Crimes” that is going to be on Monday night. There are some pretty exciting mysteries ahead, including a story about a Jane Dane and also one that could someday lead to another spin-off of its own. So exciting times are ahead, and even though this franchise has gone on for around a decade or so, there are some more opportunities for this series to last for many more years to come. We’ve already seen with some other crime dramas, whether it be the “Law & Order” franchise or “CSI,” that can last for an extremely long time.
