‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 spoilers: ‘Dawson’s Creek,’ ‘Life Unexpected’ alum joins
Do we now officially have our unsub for the season 10 premiere of “Criminal Minds”? It’s possible, since the guy that we are about to talk about is certainly creepy enough to fit the bill.
According to a new report from TVLine, Kerr Smith of “Dawson’s Creek” and “Life Unexpected” is going to guest-star in the show’s first episode back (which is also the debut of Jennifer Love Hewitt as a new series regular) in the role of Frank Cowles, a man who has decided to take it upon himself to assemble people’s appendages as a hobby. Really, we can think of at least a million or so better hobbies out there than this. Even watching someone collect stamps as a hobby (a hobby of a hobby, if you will) is better.
This news does to us signify that the show is not going to be wasting a whole lot of time at all diving into a new story in the premiere, and they really don’t have any reason to. “Criminal Minds” did not end with a cliffhanger at all at the end of last season, so this allows for an opportunity for the show to hit a reset button and include someone knew. The only priority save for introducing Hewitt’s character is going to be this villain, and seeing whether or not he is someone who can have their story resolved in a single episode (if possible).
The new season of “Criminal Minds” will premiere on CBS in late September, so of course this is only the beginning when it comes to some of the news / updates that we have for the show. So far now, share what you think about this casting in the comments.
