‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ premiere preview: Joe, Teresa Giudice’s battle begins
Season 6 of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” is going to be premiering on Sunday, and the one thing that we can say about this right now is that this is going to very much feel like a different first episode than for almost any other season.
The legal drama surrounding the Giudice family at this point is unavoidable. It’s still going on in real life as Joe and Teresa are waiting to be sentenced, but this season will show more of the early part of this process. Given that this is a matter that is actually serious in comparison to most of the silly stuff that the ladies on the show fight about, you can definitely expect there to be a very different environment with this group than in the past. Some may actually be supportive, and that includes Melissa Gorga.
If you are looking for some of the trademark drama, don’t worry; there are also some other newcomers to the show that are going to be bringing that in spades to fill out the rest of the show. Take a look at the premiere synopsis below:
“Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, fight to keep their family intact as they embark on a very public legal battle for their freedom. Fortunately, Teresa has support from her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, after resolving a long time family feud, and veteran housewife Dina Manzo, Teresa’s oldest friend who is dealing with a public divorce. Joining in the chaos is Melissa’s longtime friend Amber Marchese, a breast cancer survivor, as well as identical twin sisters, Nicole Napolitano and Teresa Aprea. Sparks fly almost immediately when everyone gets together for a Harvest Party as Amber confronts Melissa about not being there for her when she had cancer.”
The preview video below is more of an emotional toast on the part of Joe, but if you do want to see some more of the sillier part of the show, we’ll have some of that tomorrow.
