ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4: Emily VanCamp, cast have first table read

Love “Revenge“? Then you are probably going to love the fact that the cast is closer to filming the fourth season that they have been all summer long.

In a new post on Twitter, the show’s official writing staff shared that today marks the first table read of the premiere for Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe, and the rest of the cast. If you don’t get excited about that, then what’s there to be excited about with this show at all? The story is going to start coming to life … or at least the sort of pseudo-fictional life that TV shows can be. (In case you missed it, we shared the official title for the premiere yesterday.)

One of the reasons that we are feeling so excited about this new season in particular is that it could mark a brand-new beginning for the show where there hasn’t really been one. Emily hasn’t really started a season feeling as victorious (Victoria-related pun intended!) as she will entering this one. This is the first opportunity that we’ve had to see what is going to happen with Victoria in an asylum, and with Emily seemingly free of some of the desire that she’s had the past few years.

Of course, we firmly expect everything to turn around on its head in an insane fashion the moment that Emily realizes that her father is alive, and seems to be responsible for the current physical state of Conrad Grayson. Think this is a game-changer? It’s more than that; it’s a total life-changer that will make Emily question everything that she has done so far on the show.
