‘Homeland’ season 4 spoilers: Boss on a possible Carrie – Quinn romance
Could we ever see Carrie and Quinn get together on “Homeland“? Let’s start here by saying that we understand why the rumors are out there. They can relate to each other very well, and in a way that few others can given the rough nature of their jobs. They’ve also been in some way broken by all of the things that have happened to them over the years.
However, we feel like there are also some pretty substantial reasons in order to keep these two characters apart, starting with the simple fact that it’s starting to get a little convenient to have them together. We’ve already seen this happen with Carrie and someone under the CIA umbrella once, and we don’t want to see her in a place where everyone that she spends time with around her age suddenly becomes a love interest.
Well, the talk about a possible relationship between the two is something that showrunner Alex Gansa recognizes, and he therefore talks a little bit about it in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly:
“Everybody is clamoring for a relationship between [Quinn and Carrie]. And it is certainly something we’re toying with. However the question is whether Carrie is in any kind of emotional state to be open to a romance of any kind and does Quinn realize that’s the case. But it’s enough to say he watches over her this season because he cares about her so much.”
If you are going down this route, what’s the hurry? Unless this is the final season, it’d be nice to have a year of Carrie actually getting herself together so that she is ready to actually accept a real romance, and not just to get close to someone temporarily only for it to fall apart later.
We’ll be keeping watch on this, just as we are all news related to “Homeland” over at the link here now. Want further updates via email? Then we suggest heading over here, where you can sign up today for our CarterMatt Newsletter.
