‘True Blood’ season 7 spoilers: Anna Camp on running from Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric, more
Last season on “True Blood,” you could say that Anna Camp was really the Big Bad of the show. Really, this is a position that she has overall willed herself into. When we first saw her on the show years ago, did you ever think that Anna Camp would be such a big part of things now? Really, you have to credit Anna Camp for making Sarah into a fan favorite, and the sort of person that fans of the show want to see time and time again.
This includes her surprising final arc of the season, which has her running from both a mystery gang as well as now Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), who Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) convinced to come after him as a way to keep him alive. Is this what she saw coming when she got the call to come back for this season? Hardly, and she explains such in a new TVLine interview:
“It’s not what I expected at all … She’s definitely on the run; she’s got Pam and Eric after her now, and the Yakuza. … This season is about Sarah trying to survive.”
For all of those curious, Camp also hints that she will have a meetup at some point with a flame from her past who may or may not be responsible for her even being alive right now. Even with that, though, she claims that this is not going to be a reunion you expect. We hope that it comes on a whim, and that this is something that makes us smile a little. There are so many dark moments on the show that we’re down for the occasional moment of levity.
