‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 spoilers: More trouble ahead for Ashley Benson’s Hanna

It’s hard to be Hanna Marin within the world of “Pretty Little Liars” right now. Caleb has just returned after an extended period of time away, “A” is back, and she has realized that Mona basically encouraged her to become Alison 2.0 without her really thinking about it. None of these are particularly delightful things.

So to add to all of this, she’s developed a bit of a drinking problem. You’d think it would be harder for her to get it given that she is underage, but she is apparently figuring it out. You saw this on the 100th episode Tuesday night, and in the upcoming July 29th episode “Scream For Me,” the issue may be hitting a boiling point. Take a look at the synopsis below for more:

“Hanna’s insecurities and current situation continue to plague her when Alison moves into the Marin house while her Dad is out of town. Now forced to live with the one person she is trying to avoid, Hanna retreats further into abusing alcohol and ends up in a sticky situation. 

“Meanwhile, Aria drops the ball on her maid of honor duties when Ella returns to town to plan her wedding and Spencer and Emily pursue a dangerous lead, trying to solve the mystery of the dead girl in Alison’s grave.”

The one thing that has us worried about this story the most is that the show has already dealt with various addictions so many times already. We’ve seen it with Spencer most recently, and on multiple occasions. We have a hard time knowing what else can be mined from it now that we’re dealing with alcohol rather than drugs.
