‘Orphan Black’ season 3: BBC America stays positive after Tatiana Maslany – Emmy snub
We have to give some credit to the folks over at BBC America today for being classy at a time when they could understandably be angry. For the second straight year, Tatiana Maslany was snubbed for Best Actress in a Drama Series at the Emmys, and this wasn’t even a situation where she was considered a darkhorse to get a nomination. For many, the “Orphan Black” star was a frontrunner. Given that many other awards shows out there has recognized her in at least a nomination, it makes the Emmys look even sillier that they have not.
Below are some of our favorite messages shared on the show’s official Twitter page after the news of the snub was made clear earlier today.
5. “Tatiana Maslany is trending worldwide! Related news: Helena believes awards are made of chocolate. Hide all statuettes. #EmmyForMaslany
4. “Next year, #CloneClub. #EmmyForMaslany”
3. The fact that the account hit 100,000 followers not long after the Emmy nominations were announced.
2. “Proud of #TatianaMaslany and the entire #OrphanBlack family. Thanks for all the love, #CloneClub.”
1. Just take a look at the picture over here and smile. We have a feeling that you won’t regret it in the end.
At the end of the day, the thing to really remember here is that many of your favorite shows make them for the fans, and not just for the people who vote on awards. That is why fans of “Sons of Anarchy,” “Hannibal,” or “The Walking Dead” should not get too bummed out right now. You still get to watch awesome programming throughout the year.
