‘The View’: Rosie O’Donnell fires back at Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Even though Rosie O’Donnell has yet to even be confirmed as a returning panelist on “The View,” she has still found a way to get all sorts of headlines … with a little bit of controversy in tow.

Following the comments yesterday from Elisabeth Hasselbeck that Rosie is disrespectful to many, including members of the military, the former “Rosie Show” panelist simply stated on Twitter “think she has donated any money to the armed services ???? Hmmmmm.” No surprise here that the pot is already being stirred.

Rosie also claimed in another Twitter response to a fan that for the recent reunion show that brought so many former panelists together, Hasselbeck “was hiding in her dressing room – til i walked right in and said hello – her reply LETS TAKE A SELFIE !!”

While Rosie was clear in getting her thoughts about Hasselbeck known, someone else is also doing the same thing: Fellow former “View” panelist Joy Behar. Speaking in a new interview on CNN, Behar blasted Hasselbeck for the comments, questioning what she meant and also added that Rosie’s son attends a military school in the Citadel in South Carolina. Ultimately, she is not quite sure what else Elisabeth wants from her.

At the end of the day, we feel the same way about this “feud” that we did yesterday when we first wrote about it: It’s senseless. Regardless of whether or not you like Hasselbeck, we don’t know why she decided to throw stones when she already has a successful TV show, while Rosie on “The View” is yet another gamble and an unknown. Shouldn’t she just be happy for what she has?
