‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Andi Dorfman, Josh Murray, and the fantasy suite question
Thanks to “The Bachelorette,” we imagine that nobody is ever going to look at the words “fantasy suite” ever in the same way again. Maybe at one time, this word meant something reasonably romantic and passionate; now, it makes your stomach a little bit queasy.
Hopefully, Andi Dorfman will find some romance with her men on these overnight dates despite the looming presence of that date card at the end, and we’ll start our preview series for the week with Josh Murray. His hometown date had many highs, but there were also concerns about his brother overshadowing him thanks to his NFL career. (for those curious, he is now a Kansas City Chief.) Based on the synopsis below of their time together, the date will once again be about the two of them; but, is that necessarily a good thing? Take a look at some of the questions she will be asking while in the Dominican Republic:
“Andi and Josh spend the day touring Santo Domingo, mingling with locals and playing a pickup baseball game with some children, which gives her a glimpse into what their future could be like. Later, Josh shares his innermost thoughts with Andi. Is he too good to be true? Can she really trust him with her heart? Andi feels herself falling for Josh, but even as he reiterates his love for her, her self-sabotaging habits might prevent her from offering him a card to the ‘fantasy suite.’ Will she abandon her distrust and open up to the opportunity for love?”
A few random thoughts here:
- Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Andi and Josh lose to the children?
- Does anyone else find it funny that ABC now is putting “fantasy suite” in quotes? Do they view this fantasy as ironically as we do?
- Are Josh’s “innermost thoughts” about how he looks like Luke Bryan?
