‘Major Crimes’ season 3 spoilers: Finally, meet one of Raydor’s children

Major Crimes -It is always fascinating to see how long certain shows wait before introducing some children of main characters into the world. The most interesting one of the past year to us was “Scandal,” mostly because you would have thought Mellie and Fitz’s kids would have been important to the story before now thanks to his job.

When it come to Captain Sharon Raydor on “Major Crimes,” though, we’re really not that surprised that we haven’t met her children yet. This is a show mostly about the workplace, and unlike the world of politics, it is hard to really exploit your children for personal gain or include them in the story. Plus, there’s a good reason for not meeting them if they are not around.

Sources have confirmed that “Defiance” actor Ryan Kennedy has signed on to appear in “Sweet Revenge,” an episode later on this season as Raydor’s son Ricky. He is a Stanford graduate, and a rather brilliant one at that thanks to his skills in software engineering. As a matter of fact, he seems almost like a character straight out of HBO’s “Silicon Valley” minus the joke about the male anatomy that went on for about three minutes. His company that he started up with friends is also close to getting bought out, a pretty big decision that could change his life.

According to TVLine, the reason why he’s in town is to have his say in some of the recent decisions made by his mother … including a certain adoption storyline.
