‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: What is the title for the premiere?
Are you anxious to find out some more “Arrow” scoop? We imagine that all of the recent announcements have definitely raised your excitement to another level, in between finding out about Katana’s inclusion and then learning that Brandon Routh is going to recur as The Atom.
The news that we have today is not as significant as casting, but if you are an episode-title geek kind of like we are, you will probably appreciate it regardless. According to the Twitter account of the writing staff, the episode’s title is going to be none other than “The Calm.” Interesting, no? The thing about it that is so interesting to us that you know what typically comes after the calm, right? If you didn’t catch the hint already, think along the lines of “the storm.”
We dig the title here, mostly because it could symbolize at least a time of at least a small amount of peace for Oliver Queen and company in Starling City. If you spend all of your time fighting and feeling like you are about to die, that becomes your new normal, and is therefore a little less interesting to us. We prefer the stories that make it clear that you do have something to lose.
As for what Oliver has to lose now, that is an interesting question. His mother Moira is dead, his sister Thea took off with her father Malcolm Merlyn, and he doesn’t even have control of Queen Consolidated anymore. That is going to leave him in a most unusual position as he tries to continue find the motivation to be a hero.
