‘The Fosters’ season 2 spoilers: Tough times strike in ‘Mother’
“The Fosters” has definitely showcased some difficult and emotional storylines over the course of its run, but what we could see in the episode airing two weeks from Monday, entitled “Mother,” is one of the most difficult ones that we’ve seen to date.
Just the super-serious title alone is enough to make you worry, but if that doesn’t have you starting to get a little weak in the knees, we imagine that the synopsis below via ABC Family will:
“Tragedy strikes the Fosters and they must look to each other for strength. Stef confronts Mike about Ana, and he comes clean about why he was at the halfway house the night of Ana’s disappearance. Meanwhile, Wyatt seeks relationship advice from a very uncomfortable Brandon, and Mariana is still furious with Jesus for putting her in the middle of his girl problems.”
One thing that is interesting to us about this particular episode is that at least based on the synopsis alone, the Jude / Callie storylines may be a little more on the backburner. These two characters have dominated so much when it comes to airtime and the narrative as of late, and you would almost assume that this tradition is one that would keep up for a while. As it turns out, that is not necessarily the case. The only thing left to do is worry about who is in danger, and hope that it is nothing that completely devastates the characters for the rest of the season.
