‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 spoilers: Walton Goggins returns as Venus Van Dam

Walton Goggins is a champ when it comes to playing Venus Van Dam. Just in the span of a few episodes, this man has managed to create a character who is so interesting, he is one of our favorite recurring roles on “Sons of Anarchy.”

So with that in mind, it’s pretty fair to say that we are absolutely thrilled to find out he is coming back. In a post recently on Twitter, showrunner Kurt Sutter confirmed that you will be seeing Goggins in the role at least once. However, further details on that subject are not entirely available. Given Goggins’ other job on “Justified,” we cannot see it being anything more than just a few episodes.

Goggins made his first appearance on the show back in season 5, but we feel like it was his journey last year that really brought Venus into her own as a full-fledged character who war more than just an awesome role for the actor to play. This is one that does require quite a bit of preparation, though, as it takes a very long time to prepare and ally all the makeup.

“Sons of Anarchy” is currently in production for the final season, which should premiere at some point this coming September. There are some more characters to be cast and stories to be explained further, so be on the lookout for that in the weeks ahead. For now, let’s just celebrate the good news that we have! Given that this season is the end, we’d love to see as many great returning guest stars as possible.
