‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: The future for Davos

Game of Thrones -Life Beyond the Wall has never been easy for any character on “Game of Thrones,” and the arrival of some new faces there is not going to change that.

One of the many cliffhangers in the season 4 finale was the arrival of Stannis, Davos, and Melisandre to the Wilding camp, where they now have Mance Rayder prisoner and they are preparing to make all sorts of big moves now in an effort to claim Westeros for House Baratheon.

So what could come next for them? Stannis moving the Wall is an interesting decision for him, since he now has the understanding that this is the key to Westeros much more than just King’s Landing. This is something that Liam Cunningham (Davos) explained further in a new interview with Pop Sugar Australia when asked about where he could see this story going in season 5:

“Yeah! Well George said a really interesting thing; I saw an interview where he was asked about Stannis. And he said what’s interesting, what has changed in Stannis’ thinking about everything, is from wanting to be king and saving the realm, it’s now the other way around. It’s now saving the realm that will make him king, so there’s been a 180 in the thinking, in a sense. So it’ll be interesting where this goes. We’re right up north of Westeros, and obviously we have our eye on King’s Landing, but we’ve got get south, so it will be interesting, what I presume will be that journey to get south, and what happens along the way.”

Personally, we’ve made our feelings about Stannis rather clear. However, we are pretty big fans of the Davos character, and we’d love to see what more can happen for him. We definitely don’t want to see him suffer, but that means nothing in this world. They kill off awesome characters all of the time.
