‘Under the Dome’ season 2, episode 1 preview: Things fall apart
Tomorrow night, CBS finally gets back a show that they’ve been looking forward to having on their schedule for some time : “Under the Dome.” It was a huge ratings warrior during the first season, and there is little reason to think that this could change anytime soon. (We do expect declines, but not substantial ones.)
What you can hope to see in the show’s first episode back is more of the direction of where the show is going, but also more fear. Anytime you have an episode written by the man himself in Stephen King, you know that it is probably going to be chilling. Just the house scene in the video below alone is enough to freak us out a little bit. It feels almost like the movie “Twister,” except with some sort of supernatural occurrence being the cause for objects to start flying around rather than a storm. If the dome really is trying to “protect everyone” as it has been so claimed, it sure has a funny way of showing it.
For those who wonder whether or not this preview is all hype with nothing to back it up, know that there is a pretty significant death coming early on in the season. This is a show that is working really hard to establish that whole “no one is safe” mentality, and this is a way to prove it. With that being said, our jaw will fall all the way to the floor if the person who ends up going in the first episode is Barbie or Big Jim.
