‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Andi Dorfman teases Nick Viall surprise in Brussels
There are traditionally a few “shocking events” with “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” that somehow continue to be labeled as such … even though we continue to see them almost every single season. One of them is someone being “there for the right reasons” (barfing at the realization that we just put that in an article), and one is always the person showing up at the hotel room of wherever the leading man or lady is staying at.
Sometimes, this private time helps in that it enables the person to be seen as more of a favorite than ever. However, there are some other times where it can work against you. Sometimes the man or woman in charge feels like it is either unfair or an invasion of the tiny bit of privacy that they have, whereas on some other occasions you just tick everyone else off still in the game and they go and complain about you.
It was also revealed in the promo that aired after Monday’s episode that Nick Viall will be the clandestine visitor to Andi Dorfman’s hotel room in Brussels, Belgium next week, but Andi for whatever reason still chose to be coy about it in her People Magazine blog today, choosing to say simply the following:
“Next week we are off to Brussels, which was my absolute favorite place we visited on this journey! With hometown dates just around the corner, the stakes are definitely higher. After one of my dates next week, I get my biggest shock of the season when someone sneaks over to my hotel room!”
It is easy to focus on the last sentence, mostly because the rest is the same auto-programmed stuff we get every season. We feel like these blogs at times could be mad libs where Andi or whoever the lead is can just fill in some personal stuff here and there. The rest is so predictable. Everyone knows that hometown dates lie ahead, and she will only take the people she is serious about.
