‘Major Crimes’ season 3, episode 4 preview: First look at ‘Letting It Go’

Despite the title for this “Major Crimes” episode airing next week, we have a feeling that this is probably not going to be a story all about Queen Elsa. Instead, we have a very serious case coming up  involving the murder of someone believed to be a terrible person, and of course the ramifications and politics that come along with that.

The title for this hour is “Letting It Go,” and before you do anything else take a look at the synopsis below via TV Guide:

The team investigates the murder of an alleged rapist. Elsewhere, Rusty catches his mother in a lie and questions her motives.”

At around this point in the season, the challenge for “Major Crimes” is effectively the same one that many other series face. They have to find a way to stay both relevant and interesting, and also touch on cases that have not actually been discussed or debated on other shows. In the end, that is a heck of a tall order. Luckily, the show has managed to pull it off so far.

We still know that there are some fantastic stories that are coming up a little later this season that have yet to really be even fully explored, including the return of Jon Tenney for what could ultimately lead to a spin-off series if TNT shows the interest in doing it. That is still a long ways down the line, though, and the priority should be here everyone just enjoying the series that we have.
