‘The Amazing Race Canada’ returns to CTV July 8

On July 8, CTV will be bringing back something that we definitely loved when it was on the air last year: “The Amazing Race Canada.” There were genuinely many moments in the first season of the show where we felt like this was even better than the American version, whether it be the casting and the creative challenges.

The video below gives you a sense of the fun and the excitement that you can expect back on the air again, but who knows where the race is going to go this time around? We do not expect there ultimately to be all that big of a difference between this and the version of the show we saw last year, mostly because what we already had worked very well. If something is not even remotely broke, why rush in and bother to fix it? Sometimes, it is better to just sit back, smile, and be happy with what you had.

As a matter of fact, we didn’t even mind last year that the show stayed entirely within Canada, mostly because it served as a really great geography lesson for those who do not know Canada that well. There is something very fun about that for those who are not a part of that country to see it from their lens. This is one of the reasons why we love “The Amazing Race Australia,” which is our favorite entry in the entire series.
