‘The X Factor’ USA: Watch Alex & Sierra perform ‘Scarecrow’ on ‘The Today Show’

On Monday morning, “The Today Show” welcomed Alex & Sierra for a much-anticipated performance of “Scarecrow.” This is the biggest gig that the two “X Factor” winners have had on TV over the past several months, and this is traditionally a nice platform for new music.

The two gave a great performance this morning, and also didn’t seem too bothered by some of the common pitfalls that people tend to face while being outside preparing for this, which include being exhausted or having the pressure of performing to a group of people outside in the plaza. There was a pretty nice crowd that showed up for this, which is good considering that it is Monday morning and there are probably a ton of people out there who had to go back to work instead.

Today also marks the day where the single “Scarecrow” is available for purchase online, so those of you who are interested in picking that up should be able to now without a problem. It’ll be interesting to see where the journey takes these two over the next couple of weeks. There is an album that is also coming out around the horizon, but no word yet as to when that will be. For the time being, they seem to be taking everything one event at a time so that the song can build a little bit of momentum during the summer.

For those of you who were in the New York area at around the time of the performance, you probably know now that the duo also followed this up with a signing.
