‘The Bridge’ season 2 spoilers: More mystery in latest promo

The new clips for “The Bridge” keep coming, but unfortunately, they do not come with any further information in terms of what this season is going to be about.

Instead, this new clip from FX shows off Sonya Cross (Diane Kruger) and Marco Ruiz (Demian Bichir) in a capacity that makes you believe that they are going to continue working with one another for a dangerous case, and that’s about it. What we have to rely more on here is more of what we have heard about this season already.

Early scuttlebutt that is out there right now is that the show is heading in a dark, psychological direction for the story ahead, and will touch on characters’ pasts more while also pushing them in the present. Hopefully, this will also lead to a greater implementation of all of the regulars. We had so many great people who were introduced throughout the first season, but we constantly had a sense that some of them were not completely fleshed out in their entirety yet. While the show had a primary mystery that covered the entire first season, they were smart enough in the process to ensure that there was something else that could be anticipated beyond that. This is a mistake that we have seen many similar shows make, and then the second seasons flame out.

The premiere of “The Bridge” is Wednesday, July 9, and we will hopefully have further news soon.
