‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 3 preview: Spencer, Melissa Hastings face off
For those of you who enjoy the Melissa Hastings character on “Pretty Little Liars,” we imagine that you must be pretty happy to have her be a part of the season again. Tuesday night’s new episode will feature the character (played by Torrey DeVitto) in her most substantial scenes since she infamously was kept from revealing a secret in the premiere.
Here, she refuses to really give in to most of what her sister Spencer (Troian Bellisario) has to say about Alison DiLaurentis and her family. She feels a certain interest in wanting to be close to them, mostly thanks to the fact that she and Jason are at least of some blood relation. There is of course also the fact that Spencer and Alison are friends (at least to an extent), and she is invested in trying to find out what happened to her mother.
So what could Melissa possibly be trying to hide at this point? Given that Wren’s name has been brought up we imagine he is involved somehow, but Jason also must be. Why else would he be acting as creepy and secretive as he is unless he doesn’t want them to know about what he is up to? As cryptic and mysterious as he is being, though, we still have a very hard time imagining that he is the responsible party for anything that happened to Mrs. D. It just seems like way too obvious a choice, and we still have a hard time imagining that he would murder his own mother.
