‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’: Sarah Paulson talks more about ‘twin’ role

American Horror Story -It has been a bizarre couple of weeks for “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” mostly because the media decided for a little while to make the story of who Sarah Paulson is going to play so much more confusing than it really had to be.

Following the news recently that Sarah Paulson would be playing the role of conjoined twins Belle and Dot on the upcoming season of the FX show, HollywoodLife ran a story with a misleading headline making you think that her entire scoop on her character was a hoax. It’s not. The only thing that is fake is the photo that she posted, which is not how Belle and Dot will look on the show. Speaking to Vulture, she explains:

“Everyone thinks that is the character of Dot and Bette in terms of the way I look — that’s just what the company came up with [to] digitally show the two heads to Ryan [Murphy] … They used a picture of me as Lana Winters because it was in the period. So that’s not what I’ll actually look like as Dot and Bette. They used a picture of me as Lana Winters because it was in the period. So that’s not what I’ll actually look like as Dot and Bette.”

Paulson claimed that she has known about this role being hers for the new season for quite a while now, but she waited to announce it until she officially got the go-ahead from Murphy to start to advertise it.

We’re excited to see what these characters are going to look like when the series really starts going, and Paulson’s probably going to have a field day filming this, given that there are two roles here that will always be working with each other in some form.

The new season of “American Horror Story” premieres in October, but you can see some more news now pertaining to it over at the link here. Also, you can sign up to get some far-from-horrible TV updates via our official newsletter.
