‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: What gets JJ O’Brien, Chris Soules in a tiff?

Given that “The Bachelorette” this season has not had some enormous “scandal” per se (instead, the show has mostly dealt with tragedy), we’re not surprised at this point to see some arguing coming from even the most random and innocuous of places.

With that in mind, we present to you the news of an argument taking place on Monday night’s new episode that leads to JJ O’Brien being shot down by Chris Soules after he proclaims that he is having a very hard time pretending to be happy for other guys going further in the competition. Here’s the interesting thing about this “squabble”: We’re actually totally on Team JJ when it comes to almost everything that he is saying here. Why in the world would you expect a guy to be happy for someone else getting to advance in the competition if you are there for the sole purpose of finding love? Granted, this is something you really should keep to yourself, since there is no way that one of the other guys, who are of course very invested with coming off well on the show so that they can potentially get either a relationship or some other career opportunity after the fact, are ever going to agree with you on-camera.

As for whether or not this hurts JJ’s chances with Andi, it hardly feels like a deal-breaker since Nick Viall has done much worse and he is confirmed to be getting another one-on-one date Monday night. What we’d be more worried about with him is that his date was not the most romantic one in the world, and he seems more into her than she is into him.
