‘Suits’ season 4 spoilers: The latest Mike / Donna interaction

Typically in the past three seasons of “Suits,” seeing the characters of Mike and Donna spending time together would hardly be something to write home about. After all, the two parties worked at the same firm, and Donna was there almost anytime before Mike spoke with Harvey.

However, it now has a different feel to it in that Donna is somewhat the voice of reason in the brewing battle between Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht’s characters. She has always been someone with advice to offer, but the twist there has been that there often have not been too many people really willing to listen to her in the way that they should.

Maybe this will change in the new episode a week from Wednesday night entitled “Two in the Knees”; if nothing else, we at least see that the two are having a coffee conversation with Donna sporting a trench coat that could be fashionable in almost any century.

What we wonder right now is whether or not Mike is going to be a little distracted now when it comes to his plans, thanks largely to the reveal that happened with Rachel at the end of the premiere. Her responsibilities now are going to put more of a strain on her than ever, and it was already rough enough that she needed to support Harvey thanks to her job … while also still supporting Mike at least in some shape or form at home.

We want to believe that the picture of allegiances will become a little bit clearer starting tomorrow night, but we sincerely doubt this is going to happen.
