‘The 100’ season 2 spoilers: Ricky Whittle confirmed to return

Even though “The 100” has not exactly been off of the air for a particularly long time, isn’t it nice to get some scoop on what is coming up a little bit early?

In a post on his official Twitter, Ricky Whittle confirmed that he will be back around as Lincoln on the second season of the show. (For those curious, he also shared a Vine to go along with it.) For those of you who ship Lincoln and Octavia, we imagine that this has to be music to your ears.

At the moment, season 2 of “The 100” is set to film in the months ahead, and should be on the schedule for this October. There is no confirmation yet about how long the new season will be, but expect it to have a longer order than season 1, but also something shorter than the standard second-season order in an effort to keep things somewhat consistent when it comes to the pace of things.

As of right now, Whittle also currently as an arc on “Mistresses,” but we would assume that he may be able to bounce between the two series to a certain degree based on the fact that he was already able to do so once. Either way, we’re sure that he is happy given that these two series are two of his most significant breaks in America TV to date. Prior to this, the Brit was best known for appearing in over 200 episodes of the popular soap “Hollyoaks,” which has spawned many young actors over the years much like “EastEnders” and “Coronation Street” have.
