‘Masters of Sex’ season 2 spoilers: First look at Michael Sheen in ‘Parallax’

“Masters of Sex” season 2 will officially premiere on July 13, but why wait to start to get some details on what is going to lie ahead? This episode is entitled “Parallax,” and we have two important details to share here from the hour.

First, the photo attached to this article! This shows Bill and Libby attending some sort of function, which is in turn some evidence that the two are going to continue to try to make this flawed marriage work. Given what happened to the two of them in real life, we have a very hard time imagining that this is going to work in the end. It’s also interesting given that Masters at the end of season 1 basically went to Virginia and told her how badly he needs her in his life.

Also worth noting here is the simple fact that both Beau Bridges and Allison Janney are going to be appearing in this episode, which is further evidence that they are really able to pull double duty with their shows. This may be helped by the fact that in between this show, “The Millers” for Bridges, and “Mom” for Janney,” they are supporting actors in all of them rather than leads.

Hopefully, all of this will combine into a fantastic season that is still shrouded in plenty of mystery thanks to the way that the season has been promoted, and the way it ended last year with Masters basically being told that he had no real place in the university setting.
