‘Big Brother 16’: Did Rachel Reilly predict returning players in the cast?

Rachel -As we approach the potential greatness that is “Big Brother 16” this summer, we’re going to have some more periodic updates on anything that is everything that is worth reporting.

Over the past week or so, Jeff Schroeder (a.k.a. Clown Shoe, or CBS’ man on the scene for the show) has been chatting with past winners for a series available to CBS live feed subscribers. We haven’t really talked about it much here, mostly because they haven’t been altogether newsworthy. (Heck, some of his chat with Hayden Moss was about “Survivor.”)

Rachel Reilly was the focus of an interview today, and she had a chat that was more centered around “Big Brother” than other topics (even if there were some “Amazing Race” questions thrown in there). The biggest thing Rachel said is that she hopes there will be some returning players show up, and specifically cited Frank and Ian from season 14 as people that she’d want to see again.

We’re not going to even start to speculate now about whether or not people are returning based on Twitter, mostly because that’s almost impossible. Sometimes you have the Janelle Pierzina “going to Greece” strategy to throw you off, and other times you have nothing. Trying to guess returning players based on social media seems like a waste of time.

What we’d say is that if there were players from past seasons asked, we feel like Ian and Frank would be almost locks to return provided they wanted to. Last season is a little more difficult to gauge. Elissa and Judd had their fans, and they may be the most-likely candidates; however, we would not be stunned if there are a few good people from that season penalized unfairly because of the things other people said, and CBS may want to get the taste of that season our of their mouths for a while.

For those looking for other important dates, we reportedly recently that the “Entertainment Tonight” house reveal is coming Wednesday. That is official thanks to various TV listings. We’re also continuing to hear that the cast reveal is Thursday, which does fall in line with past seasons. We’ll have updates if any of that changes, but we have a hard time believing that it will, given the cast should be fairly locked in at that point and the show likes to give us time to make predictions and such.

One other thing to remember? We would not be shocked if we get a cast of 8-12 newbies on Thursday, and we are forced to wait until next week to get returning players. We can probably rule out both Jeff and Rachel, though; the latter reportedly took part in some media day festivities, and that is typically an indicator that they are not participating.
