‘Big Brother 16’ spoilers: When will house tour, cast reveal be announced?

Can you believe that “Big Brother 16” is only a week and a half away from premiering? It may be thanks to the finale of “Big Brother Canada” airing so recently, but it feels as though we are jumping straight from one crazy-fun experiment in the house to another.

The fun thing about this season is that even as we sit here on June 15, ten days away from the first half of the premiere, there is still little that is confirmed about either the twist or the cast. Regardless of all the rumors (which include “Blood vs. Water,” All-Stars, mostly newbies with a few returning players, and a cast of all newbies again), we don’t feel all that closer to the truth than we were a month ago. All we figure is that at this point, it may be better to wait for more of the truth than to start trolling you with things that may or may not be true without any sources attached to them.

What we can tell you is this: Come Thursday, you will know the entire cast for the full season. Also, you will know what the house looks like on Wednesday, when it is revealed during “Entertainment Tonight.” This is traditionally the way that the show often does things; you may get a hint or two from Julie Chen somewhere around this point about what the twist for the season is, but that may be all that you get … for now. What we are more curious about is how many cast members are announced Thursday. If it is somewhere between 8 and 12, you can basically assume that there are some returning players the show is waiting to announce until a little later.
