‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 5, episode 1 video: Jane’s pregnancy problems

For those of you wondering about how the “Jane is pregnant” stories were going to play out during the “Rizzoli & Isles” premiere on TNT Tuesday night, what we have to tell you now is pretty simple: The show is not going to be shying away from anything at all.

In the sneak peek below, we are clearly seeing some of the early stages of what Jane is going through, given that she is already feeling some of the pregnancy symptoms, including a sensitivity to smells and also frequent sickness. We can understand not being excited about the story as a whole here (mostly because not everyone will be), but the pregnancy should at least produce some fun moments. There is always something great that comes with putting characters in situations that they are not used to or uncomfortable in, and this firmly represents this and then some.

Some of the other interesting stories with this could come as we get further on in the season, and we start to learn whether or not the character will change the way she does her job at all, or if there are going to be some other crazy events that unfold as a result of this. We see a little bit of drama unfolding here in the end, but also the possibility for some important moments that change the course of the story forever. In the fifth season, you have to at least start thinking about where you want the story to be at the time it wraps up. That’s not to say that there could be many years left, but you have to start thinking of these things.
